The School of Engineering (JTH) is one of four schools within Jönköping University (JU) which is one of three Swedish private, higher education institutions with the right to award doctorates.

JU’s JTH is one of Sweden’s largest educators for engineering. The university closely collaborates with the business community in the region ensuring that technical education goes hand in hand with entrepreneurship, leadership, communication, sustainable development, and networking opportunities. Being accredited as "Engaged University" by the international organisation ACEEU, JU expertise in the development of entrepreneurship and engagement structures will play a crucial role in the Development & Validation phase of the project.

Dr Jenny Bäckstrand

Jenny is associate professor in Operations and Supply Chain Management and an experienced researcher. She is the project manager for the ACEEU accreditation process and has managed several successful co-creation-based research projects together with industry. She is currently 20% co-opted to a trade organisation within the wood and house industry and is also actively working in the ERUF-funded project mentioned above.

Linda Bergqvist

Linda is part of JTH Management Team and Head of External Relations. She manages the External Relations Team and manages the External relations council comprising of representatives from all department at the School of Engineering. This gives the External Relations Team access to all parts of the school, both regarding education and research. The External relations council reports to Linda all their external contacts with industry during the year, for 2021 more than 700 company collaborations were reported. Linda has a background of more than 20 years in marketing and communication.

Stefan Brolin

Stefan is a project Manager in the External Relations Team with a focus on Life-Long Learning taking part in managing project targeting industry professionals. Stefan is also managing projects involving courses where students meet industry and work with real cases at and with the companies. Stefan is managing our tool for measuring success in research collaboration with industry, the SPARK-ECG. Stefan has a background as External Relations Coordinator at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) and 15 years of experience as teacher and Head of a Swedish national boarding school.

LisaBeth Sundström

LisaBeth is the Project Coordinator in the External Relations Team where she manages events like our career day Karriärum with more than 100 companies participating, our Thesis Fair, Graduation Day and our VERA-Day (a day to inspire girls and young women to choose engineering studies). LisaBeth is very talented in producing information in print, web and social media. She has a bachelor’s in marketing management from JIBS.
